16–19 July 2026 (Tentative) · Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
2nd Ethiopian Renewable Energy Summit
Ethiopia's premier multi-stakeholder platform for renewable energy — policy, finance, exhibition, and the inaugural African Coalition of Renewable Energy Associations.
Background & rationale
Ethiopia is at a critical juncture in its renewable energy journey. With abundant hydro, solar, wind, and biomass resources, the country has made notable policy strides — yet adoption remains constrained by fragmented logistics, financing gaps, immature carbon markets, value chain bottlenecks, and limited technology access.
The 2nd Ethiopian Renewable Energy Summit (ERES 2026) breaks these silos. Convened as ESEDA moves toward becoming a national renewable energy association, it addresses the full value chain — from policy and finance to logistics, productive use, and continental collaboration.
Overall goal: Accelerate renewable energy adoption in Ethiopia and across Africa through high-level dialogue, a live 3-day exhibition, and a historic step toward a Pan-African coalition of associations.
